My experience spans independent client work, production software and AI engineering, data quality, IT operations, teaching and mentorship—work with teams in Ghana, the USA, Canada and Equatorial Guinea.
CUA Data Annotation Trainer — Independent Contractor (Freelancer)
- Train and mentor data annotators on CUA project guidelines, workflows, annotation standards and quality expectations.
- Conduct onboarding and continuous training sessions so annotators understand project requirements and maintain consistent quality.
- Review annotated data and give actionable feedback to improve accuracy, consistency and adherence to project guidelines.
- Support annotation quality assurance by identifying errors, edge cases, ambiguities and inconsistent interpretations, working with QA and project teams on resolution.
- Create and maintain training materials, SOPs, annotation guidelines and workflow documentation.
- Monitor annotator performance and support periodic quality evaluations and calibration exercises.
- Assist pilot runs and workflow improvements by identifying process gaps and recommending operational enhancements.

- Led software and AI systems engineering across healthcare, food delivery and pharmacy technology platforms.
- Engineered a multi-tenant microservices backend with PostgreSQL, Kafka, Redis, NGINX and Docker to unify infrastructure across multiple products.
- Designed backend services and data flows supporting multiple tenants, products and operational workflows.
- Built Bufalo AI with FastAPI, SQL and LLM orchestration for data extraction, lineage tracking, automated retries and quarantine reprocessing for research teams.
- Designed data-processing workflows emphasising traceability, reliability, failed-data recovery and controlled quarantine reprocessing.
- Built internal software, operational tools and desktop applications with Electron.js, PyQt, PyTkinter, VB.NET and C#.NET.
- Worked on the AhotoEats mobile application ecosystem, comprising customer, rider, agent and vendor applications.
- Built an internal research platform that reduced market-research turnaround from about four days to real time.
Senior Machine Learning / AI Engineer
- Sole ML/AI Engineer responsible for research and development of AI-driven systems for algorithmic gold trading.
- Architected and led NEXTMIND, a multi-model trading engine combining CNNs, LSTMs, HMMs and other ML approaches for market analysis, regime detection and trading decisions.
- Designed machine-learning pipelines for financial time-series modelling, pattern recognition, market-regime analysis and predictive modelling.
- Investigated model degradation and non-stationarity in financial markets through experimentation, model analysis and evaluation.
- Researched LLM and agentic AI architectures incorporating tools, market context, reasoning and adaptive decision-making rather than relying solely on fixed predictive models.
- Designed a conceptual black-box intelligence and deterministic risk-control architecture separating autonomous model reasoning from hard execution policies, risk limits, monitoring and kill-switch mechanisms.
- Led ongoing AI and quantitative research spanning deep learning, probabilistic modelling, financial markets, autonomous agents and quantitative decision systems.
